Four Generations of Ayurvedic Heritage. One Vision for the Future.

Leadership at VIAMS

For generations, the Kalladath Valappil family has carried forward a tradition of Ayurvedic knowledge, clinical practice and service. Started as a Vaidyasala in 1974 by the visionary physician Late Dr. K. V. Vijayan , continues this legacy by bringing together traditional Ayurvedic wisdom, individualised patient care, clinical experience and a forward-looking approach to healthcare.

Today, VIAMS builds on this heritage through a multidisciplinary approach to Ayurveda, with a particular focus on neurological care, Parkinson’s disease, rehabilitation and integrated wellness.

Our Integrated Approach to Parkinson's Disease

Parkinson's Disease Care

Parkinson's disease can affect movement, balance, speech, swallowing, emotional well-being and everyday activities. Our care approach seeks to coordinate Ayurvedic treatment with appropriate rehabilitation and supportive services according to individual clinical needs.

Depending on assessment and service availability, care may include Ayurvedic consultation, prescribed therapies, physiotherapy, speech and swallowing support, psychological counselling, lifestyle guidance and follow-up.

Our approach is intended to complement appropriate neurological care. Patients should continue prescribed Parkinson's medicines and consult their treating neurologist before making medication changes.

Working Together for Better Care

At VIAMS, we believe that effective healthcare depends on professional expertise, collaboration, clear communication and respect for every patient's needs.

Our team brings together knowledge and experience in the service of compassionate, coordinated healthcare.
